Ruth Dunning has been running a range of dog classes since 2000 when she was qualified by the Federation of Canine Behaviourists and Pet Dog Trainers. She runs Taking The Lead full-time. Ruth is a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme. She worked her rescue collie, Jess, successfully competing in Agility and Freestyle Heelwork to Music to Advanced Level from 1997 to 2006. Jess achieved her Gold in Kennel Club Good Citizens and took part in many public displays, including school assemblies and Old People Homes. At the moment Ruth is competing at the Advanced Level of Heelwork to Music with Ody, Diane Jones' Standard Poodle. Her current canine partners are Border Collie, Breeze, and Standard Poodle, Melody.
Nicky Junemann has worked as a veterinary nurse and receptionist since 1971. In that time she has become increasingly involved in all aspects of dog training and behaviour. Nicky is a member of the British Institute of Professional Trainers, passing with Honours, and is also a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor and a Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Examiner for the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. After developing a Basic Canine First-Aid Course, Nicky is now writing a book on dog training. She has successfully competed in Heelwork to Music and lives with a Border Collie and a poodle.
